About the Style
César Guerrero's work is rooted in the tradition of classical painting — the study of anatomy, light, and composition inherited from the great masters — but speaks in a language that is distinctly his own.
Through his conceptual series The Aesthetics of Childhood, he explores the universality of human experience, finding in childhood's innocence a mirror for the full arc of human emotion, memory, and aspiration.
His historical paintings revisit moments and figures from Western art not as acts of reproduction, but as conversations across the centuries.
